Canterbury Tour Trip Schedule – Dec., 2011 through 2012
We have had a lot of changes in 2011 – lots of trips, lots of trip requests and lots of new friends!

December 4 – STRAIGHT NO CHASER – Holiday Performance – Male Acapella group of 10 guys founded at Indiana University in the fall of 1996. Straight No Chaser’s goal was to expand the boundaries of the traditional college a cappella group -in the process, they are reinventing the idea of a cappella on the modern pop scene! Cost is $140 per person; includes your show, a gourmet dinner at Wildfire Restaurant and transportation before the 7:30 pm show! You may also choose to just see the show and visit Woodfield Mall which is $85 per person.
December 14 – Million Dollar Quartet, Apollo Theatre, Chicago. On Dec. 4, 1956, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis played together for the first and only time. “They ROCK the HOUSE!” – this show was inspired by the actual event. Cost is $85 per person for Includes ticket to the show and transportation with time for lunch on Michigan Ave.
Dec. 14, 17 – “Donny & Marie,” Christmas in Chicago. Oriental Theatre, Chicago. America’s favorite brother and sister team invite you to join them to celebrate the joy of the season in true Osmond fashion, features your favorite hits mixed with their trademark show-stopping production numbers. Cost is $140 for Wed. and $145 per person for Sat. Time on Michigan Ave. or the Loop for lunch on the Wed. date and lunch and dinner on the Sat. date.
January 20, 2012 – Chicago Blackhawks vs Florida Panthers, United Center, Chicago. Should be a good game, the Panthers got Brian Campbell
and the fact that the Blackhawks meet the Panthers every other year! There are two ticket prices – we have 21 tickets in Sec. 303 – Cost is $140 per person and 35 tickets in Sec. 307 – Cost is $105 per person. This price includes your ticket and transportation and time to eat before the game.
February 14, 16, 18 – Chicago Auto Show, McCormick Place. Enjoy door to door service to the 104th edition of the largest auto show in North America and held more times than any other auto exposition on the continent. Cost is $45 per person for weekdays and $48 on Saturday, includes your transportation.
March 13, 15 – Chicago Flower and Garden Show, Navy Pier. The 2012 theme is “Haute Hort Coutur,” inspired from textures and colors found in plants, fabrics and all beautiful elements found in nature! Cost is $99 for Tues. with features a luncheon cruise also, and $55 per person for the Thurs. date.
March 15, 17; April 26; May 24; June 21 – Chicago “Free” Days – Transportation to Chicago to do what you want to do. No fussing with gas, tolls or parking. Sit back and relax… let us do the driving for you! Enjoy a day of shopping and lunch, visit one of the museums, or Navy Pier. Many drop off selections. Cost is $43 per person for your transportation.
March 17 – “Riverdance,” Oriental Theatre, Chicago. The Farewell Tour! Experience the original, now in its 17th year, the internationally acclaimed celebratin of Irish music, song and dance is coming to Chicago for one week only! Don’t miss it! Cost is $135 per person with time for lunch on Michigan Ave.
March 17 – “Showboat,” Lyric Opera, Chicago. Moving from 1890s Mississippi to Chicago to “Roaring 20s” Broadway, Showboat follows the lives of a company of theatre folk-deeply involving us in their triumphs and sorrows. Front row upper balcony. Cost is $130 per person, includes ticket and transportation.
April 21 – “Burn the Floor,” Paramount Theatre, Aurora. Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, Quick Step, Cha-Cha and more! Athletic, sensual and rocket-fueled! Time for lunch and shopping in Geneva before the show. Cost is $85 per person.
May 5,16, 30 and June 2 – “Jersey Boys” Bank of America Theatre, Chicago. Worldwide, more than 13 million people have seen JERSEY BOYS, and now, the show that broke records and made critics and audiences cheer every night is back! This is the story of how four blue-collar kids became one of the greatest successes in pop music history. The show features their hit songs “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,”"Rag Doll,”"Oh What a Night,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You,” to name just a few! Wed. May 16 – $140 & May 30 – $130 per person and Sat. May 5 – $150 & June 2 – $140 per person. Cost includes ticket to the show and transportation, with time for lunch on Michigan Ave. or the Loop on the Wed. dates and lunch and dinner on the Sat. dates.
May 5 – “Cats,” Cadillac Palace Theatre, Chicago. The One. The Only. The Original! The longest running, most popular, touring production in history! This show features 20 of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s timeless melodies, including the hit song “Memory.” Cost is $125 per person, this includes ticket to the show and transportation, with time for lunch and dinner.
June 14 – Cook’s Tour of Chicago – Don’t miss this popular trip! Visit many grocery venues, enjoy lunch and a tour of Kendall Cullinary College. Bring your coolers! Cost is $70 per person; includes gourmet luncheon and transportation.
July 12 – Odyssey Luncheon Cruise, Navy Pier, Chicago. Cruise the shoreline, enjoy a gourmet luncheon, live band and shopping on Navy Pier. Cost is $95 per person, includes cruise, lunch and transportation.
Aug. 16 – Tour of Ten Chimneys, Genesse Depot, WI. Visit and tour the summer home of Broadway acting couple Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne. Cost is $92 per person, includes tour, lunch and transportation.
Jan. 30; Feb. 20 & 23, 2013….The Book of Mormon, Bank of America Theatre, Chicago. From Trey Parker and Matt Stone, four-time Emmy Award-winning creators of “South Park,” and Tony Award-winner Robert Lopez, co-creator of “Avenue Q” comes this much anticipated Broadway musical! The New York Times calls this show “the best musical of this century.” Contains very, very, explicit language. Cost is $165 for the Wednesday dates and $175 per person for the Saturday date.
