Canterbury’s May 2011 “Cooks” Tour of Chicago… An Annual Spring Event

Olympia Tominelli and her Mother at Fox and Obel Market

Our Stop at Whole Foods in Schaumberg

We visit several interesting food venues in Chicago.  It’s hard to call them supermarkets or grocery stores, the food is arranged and displayed like a museum of fine art.  Fox and Obel was our first stop, it could be called the “Tiffany” of food markets.  Next we visited Kendall Cullinary College for a demonstration and a three course luncheon including filet and salmon, salad and a decadent dessert.  Spectacular!  All prepared by the students along with a tour of the facility.  On to the Spice House and Olive Oil and Vinegar shops.  We stopped at the new Whole Foods Market at Woodfield for the fanalie!  It couldn’t have been a better day – everyone was excited, full of good food and coolers full of goodies they bought to bring home!  Even if you don’t like to cook… we know you like to eat … it’s a GREAT time for everyone!  BON APPETIT EVERYONE!
